PURPOSE:To confirm the same quality image as the object image before recording by installing a solid state image pick-up device to output a video signal corresponding to the image-formed object image and a signal processing means to make the signal to the video signal, suitable to recording. CONSTITUTION:The light from a lens 1 is irradiated through an optical system 2 to a solid state image pick-up element 3 and a photodetector 9. A process circuit 5 executes the prescribed processing to the inputted video signal, outputs an NTSC signal, etc., adds the NTSC signal to an electronic view finder 20 composed of a small cathode ray tube and adds a luminance signal and a color difference signal to a recording signal processing circuit 6. THe electronic view finder 20 displays the image corresponding to the inputted NTSC signal, namely, the object image on to the cathode ray tube. The recording signal processing circuit 6 modulates the frequency to the video signal composed of the inputted luminance signal and the color difference signal, and outputs through a recording amplifier 7 to a recording head 12.
