PURPOSE:To enhance antistatic property and to obtain a superior image by incorporating a specified surfactant in a silver halide emulsion layer or another constituent layer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer or another constituent layer formed on a support contains a surfactant represented by the formula shown on the right in which Rf is a 3-24 satd. or unsatd. hydrocarbon group having all or a part of H atoms substd. by F atoms; A is a trivalent bonding group; B is a divalent group having an ether bond; D is a hydrophilic group; and n is 2-200. The use of such a surfactant for the photographic sensitive material permits superior antistatic property unchangeable after the lapse of time from preparation to be obtained, a uniform liquid suspension to be ensured at the time of high-speed coating of a photographic coating fluid contg. gelatin, as well as other various photographic binders or not, a uniform coating film without any defects due to or comet-like defects, to be obtained, and further, the photosensitive material not to be stained at all at the time of development processing. |
