A temper-proof actuator assembly for a handheld pressurized aerosol or pump-type dispensing container, comprises a base portion 14 screwed on to the container neck 12 e.g. to clamp the dispenser pump 20 in position, and an actuator button 38 connected to a mounting skirt 48 by frangible webs 52, the dispenser having an elongated actuating stem 30 which fits into an elongated hollow boss 56 in button 38, to align the button with the base 14 during assembly of skirt 48 on to base 14 by snap-fit of a bead 50 into a groove 26, thereby avoiding damage to the frangible webs 52 during assembly. Depression of button 38 to actuate stem 30 breaks webs 52 and fully seats stem 30 in boss 56. |
