PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a fine adjustment device by switching a transfer function of a coefficient variable equalizing amplifier during non- reception period of a burst signal to increase the amount of change in the transfer function with one switching. CONSTITUTION:A received burst signal is fed to the coefficient variable equalizing amplifier 1 comprising a coarse adjusting amplifier 11 and a f<1/2> equalizer 12. The reception signal after equalization is inputted to an identification circuit 2 and a peak value holding circuit 3. An A/D converter 4 compares a peak value Vp with two reference voltages and gives outputs 4-1, 4-2 to a control circuit 5. On the other hand, a burst detection circuit 6 and a timing circuit 7 give a timing pulse 7-1 synchronously with the nonreception period of the burst signal to the control circuit 5. The control circuit 5 synchronizes the timing pulse 7-1 to control the coefficient of the equalizing amplifier. Thus, since the transient phenomenon attended with the coefficient switching is finished before the next burst signal is received, the amount of change in the transfer function due to one switching is increased. |
