(Thio)flavene derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new: rings A and B are opt. substd.; Y = O, S, SO or SO2; one of Z1 and Z2 is halogen and the other is CHO. - Pref. A and B are opt. substd. by 1-3 of lower alkyl, OH, lower alkoxy, lower alkanoyloxy, mono- or di(lower alkyl)amino, lower alkanoylamino, halogen, CHO and COOH; Y = O or S; one of Z1 and Z2 is Cl and the other is CHO.
