PURPOSE:To obtain a cephalosporin derivative having improved antibacterial power, by reacting a 7-(4-halogeno-3-oxo-2-alkoxyimino-butyrylamino) cephalosporin derivative, etc.) with thiourea. CONSTITUTION:A 7-(4-halogeno-3-oxo-2-alkoxyiminobutyrylamino)cephalosporin derivative shown by the formula I [X is halogen; R3 is -CH2R5 (R5 is H, nucleophilic compound residue), halogen, or hydroxyl group which may be re placed, etc,; R6 is alkyl] or its salt is reacted with usually 1-several equivalents thiourea generally in a solvent for preferably 1-10 hours, to give the aimed 7-[2-(2-minothiazol-4-yl)-2-(syn)-alkoxyiminoacetamido]ceph-alosporin derivative shown by the formula II (-COOR4 is carboxyl group which may be esterified) or its salt.
