PURPOSE:To obtain Cu base alloy material having high strength, high conductiv ity without hot rooling, by heat treating and cold rolling an ingot of Cu base alloy contg. prescribed ratios of Ni, Si, under prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION:Ingot of alloy contg. 0.4-4wt.% Ni, 0.1-1wt.% Si and the balance Cu is cast continuously. The ingot is heated at >=70 deg.C temp. for 30sec-5 hr in reducing atmosphere,etc., then cooled to 350-700 deg.C by 1-50 deg.C/min rate, and heat treated at the temp. for 30sec-10hr. Next, the material is cold rooled by 40-95% draft, next, the material is heat treated at 350-700 deg.C for 30sec-10 hr in reducing atmosphere, etc.
