摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a steel for a pressure vessel having superior resistance to hydrogen attack at a low cost by providing a composition for improving resistance to hydrogen attack without deteriorating other characteristics or economical efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a steel for a pressure vessel is composed of, by weight, 0.01-0.2% C <0.6% Si, 0.1-1% Mn, <0.02% P, <0.01% S, 0.0005-0.2% B and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The composition may further contain <0.6% Mo. The steel has superior resistance to hydrogen attack and can be manufactured at a lower cost as compared with a high grade steel having high Cr and Mo contents.
