PURPOSE:To obtain a molded article suitable for motor vehicle glazing, etc., by treating beforehand a polycarbonate resin molded article with a primer of specific composition followed by topcoating of an ultraviolet-curable coating to prevent the coating film from debonding and significantly improve weatherability. CONSTITUTION:A molded article constituted by polycarbonate resin having structural unit of formula (A and B are each phenylene, halogen-substituted phenylene, etc.; R1 and R2 are each H, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, etc.) is coated, in advance, with a primer prepared by dissolving in an organic solvent (e.g., exhanol) a polymer, copolymer or blend thereof from a monomer selected from alkyl acrylates and alkyl (meth)acrylates (e.g., methyl acrylate) so that the resulting solution is 2-20wt% in the concentration (the resultant coating film being pref. 3-20mu thick), followed by topcoating of an ultraviolet-curable coating, thus accomplishing the objective surface-hardening of said article.
