PURPOSE:To form continuously a coil stable in shape dimensions by constituting a titled device so that a wire rod is curled and provided with a permanent strain in a state of being prevented from rotating in the radial direction of a coil and is delivered in the thrust direction at an equal pitch. CONSTITUTION:A titled device is constituted so that, when a wire rod 6 drawn out of a drum 7 is fed to a coil-forming part 8, the part 8 is rotated reversely to the introducing direction of wire rod 6 to prevent a coil body B from rotating in the radial direction. Under these conditions, the wire rod 6 is curled into the diameter equal to that of a coil and is provided with permanent strain by bending rolls and further, is delivered in sequence at an equal pitch in the thrust direction along an annular groove 16 while being in internal contact with a roll die 13. By this mechanism, a coil having stable pitch and coil diameter is continuously formed while preventing back spring.
