PURPOSE:To make further improvements in wear resistance and corrosion resistance and to lighten the weight so as to deep up with the high speed by using titanium carbonitride-base cermet in stead of conventional WC-base sintered hard alloy. CONSTITUTION:The dispersed phase of the dot wire is composed of 50-90wt.% double carbonitride which is formed by substituting, in the range of 10-70wt.%, 1 or >=2 kinds among the metals of groups IVa, Va, and VIa in the periodic table, except Ti, for a part of Ti in tutanium carbonitride having a C/N ratio of >=1. The binding phase is composed of 1 or >=2 kinds among iron group metals and the balance inevitable impurities, i.e., 10-50wt.%.
