PURPOSE:To increase reliability and make compact by installing a hole on the surface, which is in contact with an electrode plate, of an outer container, and bonding a movable plate made of a disk-shaped synthetic resin sheet having elasticity and a disk-shaped sheet-like synthetic resin fixing plate having a hole in its center to the container so that both holes coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin sheet-shaped safety valve 8 is constructed in such a way that an adhesive 11 is applied to one side of a disc-shaped valve fixing plate 10 made of a polyethylene film having a hole 9 in its center to bonding it to an outer container 5, and a disk-shaped movable plate 12 made of polyethylene film having elasticity and the same dimension as the valve fixing plate 10 is bonded to the other side of the valve fixing plate 8, and silicone oil 14 is spread on the parts which are not bonded between two sheets, and polyethylene semicircular arc reinforcing materials 17, 17' are fixed on the bonded parts of the movable plate. The sheet-shaped valve is free from wrinkles or stretching caused by the outer force and its operation pressure is made steady. Since extruding outside the battery is eliminated, the container is made compact and also the cost is reduced. |
