Fibre mat made of mineral wool is deformed by precompressing the mat between two adjustable rolls, if necessary after the addition of a binding agent. A periodical up-and-down motion of the pair of rolls deforms the mat to corrugations within a pair of guide plates. A glass fibre mat, wetted on the underside by a binding agent, is then applied to the top and the laminate is pulled through a polymerisation chamber. |
