The plant container with stand is constructed from just a few elements and permits the container to be held at a given height. The stand can be used for different container shapes. If the plant container (10) has, for example, the form of a round pot, the stand can be composed of three or four round wooden rods (11) which are each provided with two transverse holes (12, 13). Attached in each lower transverse hole (13) is a load-carrying support (14) which reaches underneath the stacking edge (25) of the container. Inserted into each upper transverse hole (12) is a holding hook (17), which engages over the edge of the container (10). The supports (14) and the holding hook (17) are each secured against being pulled out of the rod (11) with the aid of a screw (20). <IMAGE>
