A conditioner for human hair principally consists of an aqueous composition which comprises 0.25-4% of an agent for reducing static charge, 0.05-1.0% of a cationic film- forming polymer which contains several quaternary nitrogen atoms, and 0.25-4% of distearyldimethyl ammonium salt, with the weight ratio between the agent for reducing static charge and the cationic polymer being from approx. 2:1 to approx. 20:1. The invention also relates to a process for conditioning human hair.
