CONSTRUCTION OF CELL AT GREAT DEEP OF WATER

PURPOSE:To permit a cell to be constructed at great deep point under water by a method in which a filling soil mixed with a hardener and an additive is charged into a shell, and the starting time of hardening of the filling soil is regulated according to the charging speed. CONSTITUTION:After a steel sheet pile cell 7 is set on the foundation mound 4, an underwater feeding tube 6 is built in the cell 7. A filling soil mixed with a hardener and an additive is charged through the tube 6 into the cell 7. The starting time of hardening of the filling soil is regulated according to the charging speed in such a way as to control the tensile stress to be generated in the cell 7 crust by the side pressure of the filling soil of unhardened upper layer 2 not to exceed an allowable stress over the whole of the cell crust.
