PURPOSE:To adjust a fuel injection quantity and the injection timing in an optimum manner, by interposing a face cam between a plunger and an actuating piston driving this plunger, while rotating this face cam for the end. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 6 is installed in a unit injector 1, and a face cam 35 is formed in the end of a pinion 36 tightly attached to an actuating end of this plunger 6. There is provided with an actuating piston 12 coming into contact with this face cam 35 and resisting energizing force of a follower spring 14. With reciprocating motion of a plunger 22, the actuating piston 12 is depressed against the energizing force of the follower spring 14, making the plunger 6 do its reciprocation. Thus, a fuel injection quantity and the injection timing are adjustable in an optimum manner. |
