PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording medium capable of recording sufficiently even with a weak output of an energy beam by using a low-heat conductivity substance into a recording layer whose property constant changes by absorbing a part of the energy beam. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of metal, etc. is applicable to a substrate 1. A recording layer 2 is formed as an irradiated energy beam absorptive substance 2a in a single layer or in laminated layers by vapor deposition or sputtering so that the property constants such as spectral transmittance, reflectance, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity, etc. may be changed by absorbing irradiated energy. Although metals are used heretofore as the irradiated energy absorptive substance having a high light absorptance, the heat conductivity of metal is generally high, and the heat conductivity of aluminum is, for example, about 1,000 times higher than that of polyethylene. Accordingly, polyethylene, etc. having heat conductivity <=1/2 or preferably <=1/10 times the conductivity of the irradiated energy absorptive substance 2a is mixed as the substance 2b having low heat conductivity into the irradiated energy absorptive substance 2a. |
