PURPOSE:To apply sound muting at switching by providing a terminal from which a muting trigger signal in synchronization with channel switching to reproduce a video and a TV sound multiplex broadcast synchronously with the TV channel switching. CONSTITUTION:A sound detection signal of a TV receiver 27 is outputted from a sound detection output terminal 16 in response to the channel switching by a channel switch 15 at the channel switching of a TV receiver by combining the TV receiver and a sound receiver having the capability of receiving the TV sound, the signal is inputted to an external sound signal input terminal 25 of the sound receiver 28 having the capability of receiving the TV sound, and when a changeover switch 19 is thrown to the position (b), a sound multiplex demodulation signal is obtained and a stereo signal or a bilingual signal is reproduced. When a muting trigger signal is outputted from a sound detection output terminal 16 of the TV receiver 27, the signal is inputted from an input terminal 26 to actuate a muting circuit 24 synchronously with the channel switching.
