PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of exact moisture content eliminating disable measurement due to breakage of an antenna, by transmitting a radio wave from one side of a microwave guide used in a distribution path of an object to be measured to measure the attenuation thereof in the passage diameter. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic wave exciting an antenna 4 as emitted with an oscillator 3 from the side of a measuring waveguide 2 as distribution path of an object to be measured is introduced into a receiving antenna 9 via the path as indicated by dotted arrow 13. Windows 6 and 11 made of a low high frequency loss insulator are provided on the joint surface between the waveguide 2 and a branch waveguides 5 and 10 in the course to let electromagnetic energy pass. A part of the electromagnetic wave leaving the windows 6 and 11 travels through connection path as indicated by the solid arrows 14 and 15 and the reflected wave thereof is absorbed by radio wave absorbing materials 7 and 12 as contributing to measuring errors. This eliminates disabled measurement will no damage to the antenna thereby enabling the measurement of exact wave content.
