The arched installation element of steel for securing the rock in underground mining and for producing a concrete shell has a wall part (6) enclosed between longitudinally running side flanges (2, 4) and transverse flanges (13, 14) and provided with transverse corrugations (7, 8). The corrugation depth is 50 to 60% of the flange width, and the total width of the installation elements is between 1 and 2 m. A sealable connection (18) provided in the top area of the installation elements in the wall part (6) enables the installation elements attached to a rock wall to be backfilled with flow concrete. Cut-outs (17) in the part of the transverse flanges (13, 14) on the outside of the arch permit a flow connection for concrete in the arch direction of elongated installation elements connected to one another in the longitudinal direction.
