PURPOSE:To solve the problems that an ink ribbon is fed unstably at the time of transfer due to penetration of an oily substance contained in an ink composition into a film base, unclear characters are transferred due to filling of rugged parts of types used for transfer and the like, by providing a pressure-sensitive type image-forming layer constituted of an ink composition on a film base formed of a specified ionomer resin. CONSTITUTION:The pressure-sensitive type transfer material comprises a pressure-sensitive type image-forming layer constituted of an ink composition on a film base, which base is constituted mainly of an ionomer resin obtained by cross-linking molecules of an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer by metal ions. For example, the film base is formed of an ionomer resin which has in its molecule a structure obtained by cross-linking a part of carboxylic acid groups to a molecular chain of polyethylene by metal cations (Na<+>, K<+>, Ag<+>, CU<2+>, Ba<2+>, Zn<2+>, Fe<2+> or the like). The ionomer resin used as a material for the base has an oily substance shielding property of about 50-100 times of that of a polyolefin film base material, e.g., polyethylene, so that a transfer material substantially free of penetration of oily substances into the base film can be obtained. |
