PURPOSE:To attain the simplification and wt. reduction of a manufacturing process, by forming a pressure contact part for contacting and pressing the printing paper wound around a platen and a shaft part pivotally mounted in a revolvable manner from an integral synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A roller shaped pressure contact part 1a for contacting the printing paper wound around a platen under pressure and the shaft parts pivotally mounted to both ends of said pressure contact part 1a are integrally molded from a synthetic resin. From the manufacturing aspect of a paper press roller, the splitting direction of an injection mold is set to the longitudinal direction of the roller and the cutout part 1c for preventing the sink of the pressure contact part is provided but, when the cutout part 1c can not provided because of the small diameter of the pressure contact part, the splitting direction of the injection mold is set to the diameter direction of the roller and the through- hole parts 1d for preventing the sink marks at the time of molding contraction is provided. As mentioned above, the cavities for preventing the sink marks can be provided even to the roller having a small diameter by providing the hole 1d having a diameter smaller than that of the roller in the diameter direction. |
