PURPOSE:To prevent disconnection of a cord along with a smaller size of a case, by making a thermometer serving as cord reel to add a reversion prohibiting function to the cord reel with direct connection of a connection cord to the thermometer. CONSTITUTION:A woman's clinical thermometer is made up of an upper case 1 and a lower case 2 composing a flat box shaped case, a thermometer body 3 retained therebetween, a connection cord 4 wound on the circumference of the body 3 and a temperature detection probe 5 mounted at the tip of the connection cord as bent in L. The base section of the cord 4 is pulled out of the circumference of the body 3 as directly fastened to the inside of the body 3 and connected direct to an internal circuit of the body 3 using solder or the like. A stopper 12 for prevent reversion is projected inside the upper case 1 and on the internal bottom of the lower case 2 between the circumference of a flange section 3a and the cord 4 near a notch 2b to stop the pulling out of the cord 4 with no excess tension applied thereto 4. This eliminates bending of the cord thereby preventing disconnection along with a smaller size of the case. |
