PURPOSE:To enable efficient automatic and unmanned operation of a group of barreling machines by entirely automatizing the removal and installation of a cover, charging of a machined mass, taking out of an unmachined mass, etc. and controlling these operations by a computer. CONSTITUTION:A manipulator 30 stops above a barrel tank 1a-1c for which a machining time has passed, to carry out the holding, moving, and removing of a cover and the reverse operations. In sorting a mass, the barrel tank is inverted after opening the cover of the tank, the mass is sieved by sieves provided below, i.e., a magnetic sorter 67a and vibration sorters 67b, 67c, and machined workpieces are taken out of a system while abrasive stones are sent upward by means of a return conveyor 68 and stored in a chute. On the other hand, workpieces are fed, together with abrasive stones, into a certain barrel tank 1a-1c by means of a feeding hopper 60 and via conveyors 62-64 by the command of a computer. |
