PURPOSE:To obtain a resin compsn. having excellent mechanical characteristics and frictional wear resistance as well as flame retardance, by blending a polyether amide elastomer with a polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION:0.01-50pts.wt. polyether amide elastomer is blended with 100pts. wt. polycarbonate. Examples of the polyether amides are block copolymers contg. a hard segment such as nylon 6, 66, 11 or 12 and a soft segment composed of a polyether component. When the quantity of the polyether amide elastomer is less than 0.01pt.wt. per 100pts.wt. polycarbonate, an effect of improving the frictional wear resistance is insufficient, while when it exceeds 50pts.wt., the mechanical strength is lowered. If desired, additives such as dispersant, stabilizer, pigment, talc, glass fiber, etc. may be added to the resin compsn. |
