摘要

PURPOSE:To detect exactly the timing for exchange of the constitution in which the time for the light emission of a light source is measured and the signal to announce the timing for exchanging a recording medium is outputted before the termination of the service life of the recording medium as a result of the deteriorated sensitivity thereof. CONSTITUTION:A signal fv to be recorded is first modulated by a modulator 1 and is inputted to a laser 2. The laser 2 emits light in accordance to the signal fv. A counter 3 measures at the same time the output singal of the laser 2 from a modulator 1 and adds the emission time of the laser 2 from 0 into a memory 4. The added quantity is corrected by a paper size. A signal is outputted from a comparator 5 to a controller 6 when the total emission time of the laser 2 stored in the memory 4 exceeds the prescribed level which is preliminarily determined. A controller 6 outputs the signal Su to announce the termination of a photosensitive body 101 upon receipt of the signal and lights up a display means 7 such as light emitting diode to anounce the termination of the service life of the photosensitive body 101 and the timing for exchanging the same to the user or service man.
