PURPOSE:To obtain glossy and transparent sheet or film by a method wherein the front or rear surface of the sheet or the film is wound around and guided alternately by small-diametrical chill rolls while heating and cooling devices are connected to respective small-diametrical rolls. CONSTITUTION:The sheet or the film, flowed out of a die 21, is pressed onto the first small-diametrical chill roll 23A by an air knife 24. The surface (a) of the sheet or the film 22, which is contacted with the roll, is cooled quickly by the first small-diametrical chill roll 23A, whose surface temperature is kept in constant by the heating and cooling device 25, equipped separately, and the crystalization thereof is restricted. The sheet or the film 22, cooled quickly, runs around the half circumference of the first small-diametrical chill roll 23A and, thereafter, is converted to the side of the second small-diametrical chill roll 23B. The surface (b) of the sheet or the film, which has not been contacted with the first small-diametrical chill roll 23A, is cooled quickly by the second small-diametrical chill roll 23B. |
