A substitute for laver is prepd. from brown seaweed. Thus, 8.17kg of brown seaweed is washed with fresh water 3 times and parboiled at 90±2≦̸C for 1 min. After removing excess moisture, the parboiled seaweed is crushed to the size of 4-5mm width and 25-50 μm thickness. The crushed seaweed is suspended into 10 l drafting water contg. a tissue conditioner and drafted with the framed net of 24 X 22cm. The drafted seaweed is air-dried at 70≦̸C for 2hr to give 100 sheets of artificial laver. |
