PURPOSE:To control the shift of a cursor and to improve the convenience to use a coordinate input device by adding two AND circuits and a switch to a mouth. CONSTITUTION:A mouse main body 1 contains a shift information output device 25 including a ball 4, X and Y rolls 6 and 8 and X and Y revolution detectors 7 and 9. The X and Y shift information delivered from the device 25 are supplied to a central processing unit MPU16 via X and Y counters 12 and 13. Then a cursor is shifted on a display screen. Here a shift information controller 26 including a switch 18, a detector 19 and X and Y AND circuits 21 and 22 is added to the main body 1. Thus the switch 18 is turned on to turn the output signal 20 of the detector 19 into output '0' in case the shift of the main body 1 is desired with no shift of the cursor. As a result, the input of both X and Y information is inhibited to the MPU16.
