PURPOSE:To provide a matte electrodeposition paint which is chemical-resistant, weather-resistant and crystal-clear, containing an unsaturated monomer and an ester (monomer) of a polyhydric alcohol with an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated acid in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A paint compsn. contains 2-20wt% fine particles obtd. by neutralizing a polymer obtd. by copolymerizing a monomer composition consisting of an unsaturated monomer (A) contg. a water-soluble polar group, a polyester (monomer) (B) of a polyhydric alcohol with an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated acid and optionally other monomer (C) in an org. solvent in such a proportion that the monomer composition contains component A in a quantity of 9-180mg equivalents/100g of monomer compsn. and component B in a quantity of at least 60wt%.
