PURPOSE:To enable an inferior chilled roll to be detected rapidly and automati cally by providing each chilled roll with a rotation detector and comparing the output of each detector with a standard value. CONSTITUTION:The chilled rolls Rn, Rn+1 are rotated by the conveyance force of a film base, and the rotation detectors Dn, Dn+1 produce pulses corresponding to rotation speeds of the corresponding chilled rolls. The output pulses are successively scanned with a scanning circuit 11, and fed to a computer 14. The rotation speed of a standard roll 12 rotated with the drive source same as that of the film base 1 is converted into a corresponding pulses and fed to the computer 14, and the outputs of the detectors are compared with the standard value obtained by the standard roll 12, and when the occurrence of an inferior chilled roll is confirmed, it is fed to CPU16, and it causes a warning device to sound an alarm. |
