<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of words stored in a dictionary by supplying the inflection of a noun and adjective from a common dictionary and processing the inflection of many words according to the principle and exception rules. CONSTITUTION:French language processing system is constituted of an input device 1, a memory device 2, an output device 3, an electronic French word dictionary 4 and a controller 5. The electronic French word dictionary 4 is provided with a principle storage area 4a for storing principles of the inflection due to the sex and number of noun and adjective subjects, an exception rule storage area 4b for storing exception rules relating to the inflection of a noun and adjective capable of being made into a rule among those which cannot and an irregular area 4c for storing sequentially the inflection of a noun and adjective, which cannot be made into a rule, among nouns and adjective which do not obey the principle.</p> |
