PURPOSE:To interchange data, etc., between plural system control programs efficiently by recording individual control information which controls information groups that the plural system control programs contain and correspond to them respectively and common control information for grasping it in an external auxiliary storage device. CONSTITUTION:A data processor 11 has a system control program 12 and controls the external auxiliary storage device 13. The external auxiliary storage device 13 has a control part 14 and storage media 16 and 17 and a common control information area 21 for the storage media 16 and 17 is an area wherein only one piece of individual control information or its quantity information is positioned at the head of each medium medium, and readable in common by plural control programs. Individual control information areas 22 and 23 are areas which are controlled and recorded by each control program unit and they are present as many as system programs which record information on the storage media following the common control information area. Following information group area 24 have their ranges specified by individual control information and are controlled independently by each program.
