PURPOSE:To accomplish cost-down and make the device light and small by furnishing No.1 and No.2 transmission mechanisms to transmit rotation of a motor to a platen roller and a cutter, and allowing a single motor to drive both the platen roller and the cutter. CONSTITUTION:During reception by a facsimile, a pulse motor 20 rotates in the regular direction a, and transmission is made to a platen roller 3, so that a recording sheet 1 is transmitted by a roller 3 in the regular direction A, and the received data is printed on the recording sheet 1. When reception for one page is finished, a termination signal is entered into a control circuit for motor 20, which rotates further for a certain amount to locate that part of recording sheet 1A to be cut so as to mate with a cutter 4. The control circuit energizes a plunger 39 and deenergizes another 51 while the motor 20 is rotated in the reverse direction b for a certain specified amount, so that an arbor 46 rotates reversely to allow the cutter 4 to cut the recording sheet A, wherein the cut strip 1B is exhausted to a stacker 18, and when the motor 20 is stopped, the plungers 39 and 51 are energized and deenergized, respectively, to cause reverse rotation of the motor 20 for a certain amount, which should bring the recording sheet 1 into stand-by condition for reception.
