PURPOSE:To process an image with high picture quality and high speed without causing disturbance of magnified and reduced image in an optional reduced/ magnified rate by calculating an address from a horizontal and vertical moving distance of plural noticed original image data and converting the read image data into magnified/reduced data. CONSTITUTION:A read/write control part 12 uses a clock signal outputted from a timing signal generating circuit 11 to output a read address to the original image to a latch circuit 13. The latch circuit 13 latches an original image data corresponding to a designated address. Further, a horizontal distance arithmetic part 14 and a vertical distance arithmetic part 15 calculate the position of the converted picture element to the original picture element based on horizontal and vertical clock signals outputted from the timing signal generating circuit 11. A density arithmetic part 16 calculates the data after magnified or reduced data based on the position calculating value and the original image data and a read/write control part 12 writes the data to an image memory. |
