PURPOSE:Hair cosmetic composition that contains a combination of specific quaternary ammonium salt, higher alcohol with a soluble salt of 2-pyrrolidone-5- carboxylic acid in a specific proportion, thus improving crisp drying hair and the feeling after hair is done. CONSTITUTION:(A) A compound of formula I [R1 or R1 and R2 are 10-24C alkyl, 10-24C hydroxyalkyl, formula II (R is 10-24C alkyl, 10-24C hydroxyalkyl; n is 1-10); R2-R4 or R3, R4 are 1-3C alkyl, formula III (R5 is H, methyl; m is 1-5), benzyl, cinnamyl; X is halogen, 1-2C alkylsulfate group], (B) cetyl alcohol (B1) and stearyl alchol (B2) and (C) a soluble salt of 2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid are used in such amounts as A is 0.1-10wt% based on the total composition, the weight ratio of B1 to B2 is 3/7-7/3 and B/C is 20/1-1/1 to give the objective composition. The composition can prevent the hair from becoming crisp after shampooed and dried and gives good feeling like innocent hair free from greasy feed. |
