PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a small type motor by forming either or both of a pair of synchronous driving pulleys or of synchronous pulleys of synchronous driving pulleys or a synchronous pulleys having different diameter mutually. CONSTITUTION:In a straight linear moving device having a pair of moving bodies 11a, 11b with pulleys 13a, 13b, the both sides of a pair of synchronous pulleys 17a, 17b over which a synchronous belt 6 is put are provided with guide rollers 18a, 18b, 18c and 18d. The synchronous pulleys 17a, 17b coaxially have synchronous driving pulleys 19a, 19b respectively, and the synchronous driving pulley 19a is smaller in diameter tan the synchronous driving pulley 19b. Consequently, the synchronous pulley 17a is greater in rotating angle than the synchronous pulley 17b mounted coaxially with the synchronous driving pulley 19b, and the above the angular difference forms the moving amount of the moving bodies 11a, 11b. The low torque type of a motor can be therefore used.
