PURPOSE:To obtain an optional horizontal pattern amplitude by making the horizontal pattern amplitude and a high voltage constant always regardless of changes in a horizontal deflection frequency so long as a blanking time TR is constant and changing a blanking line resonanceimpedance at the primary winding of a flyback transformer to change the TR. CONSTITUTION:As a resonance frequency variable means, a series circuit comprising an amplitude adjusting changeover switch 24 and an auxiliary resonance capacitor 25 is connected to parallel with a capacitor 5 at the primary side of the flyback transformer 6. In turning on the switch 24, since the capacitance of the capacitor 5 is added to that of the capacitor 25 and the combined capacitance C is larger, the blanking time TR gets longer. Since the deflection current I is increased, the horizontal pattern amplitude is expanded.
