MANUFACTURE OF MULTIGROOVED V-PULLEY WITH SEPARATING BAND

PURPOSE:To attain a good and easy formation of a separating band by forming a projecting ring which extends in the circumferential direction on the bottom of a recess ring on which a separating band of a rolling roller is to be formed and rolling preformed products by the rolling roller. CONSTITUTION:A circular metal plate 2 is formed into a cup-shaped product 4. A flange forming roller 6 forms a flange 8 at two edges of a circular wall of the product 4 and a curved wall part between both the flanges 8. A wall thickening roller 10 having a circular ring groove 14 is pressed against the curved wall part to even out the wall and to thicken the circular wall. The roller 10 also forms a building-up part 16 in a place where the separating band is to be formed and makes the preformed product 12. The projecting ring 30 is formed at the center of the recess part of the recess ring 28 before the preformed product is pressed by the rolling roller 18 having >=2 V-shaped projecting lines 24 and the recess ring 28 forming the separating band. Thus the good separating band is formed easily.
