PURPOSE:To obtain an inclination angle sensor reduced in the effect of temp. and having a proper response characteristic, by utilizing the eddy current, which is generated by moving magnetic flux piercing through a conductor by the motion of a pendulum, as the brake means of the pendulum. CONSTITUTION:Magnets 6 as brake elements are arranged and fixed to a stand 1 so as to allow magnetic fluxes generated by said magnets 6 to pierce through a pendulum 5. When the pendulum 5 is moved, an eddy current is generated in a conductive part and, because braking force proportional to the speed of the pendulum 5 acts, said pendulum 5 rapidly becomes stationary at a well- balanced position corresponding to the magnitude of magnetic flux density. The magnitude of braking force can be arbitrarily selected by the intensity of the magnetic force of each magnet 6, the position thereof or the number of the magnets.
