NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R<1> and R<4> are alkyl; R<2> is alkyl or CH2-A-R<6> (R<6> is pheny; A is unsaturated chain hydrocarbon group); R<3> is phenyl; R<5> is alkyl, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridylalkyl, or CH2-A'-R<8> (R<8> is phenyl, pyridyl, thienyl, etc.; A' is unsaturated chain hydrocarbon group)] and its salt. EXAMPLE:Methyl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-propenyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3- nitrophenyl)pyridine-3,5-dica-rboxylate. USE:It has calcium antagonistic, hypotensive, platelet coagulation suppressing, phosphodiesterase-inhibiting, and lipid peroxide level lwoering activities, and is useful as a medicinal drug. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared e.g. by esterifying or dehydrohalogenating the compound of formula II and the compound of formula R<5>X (X is OH or halogen). |
