PURPOSE:To enable both front and rear of paper to be printed concurrently by providing a pair of heads with a platen which are capable of printing through movement in the same direction all the time. CONSTITUTION:A pair of heads 8 with a platen and a stay shaft 3 which serves as a track for an ink ribbon 4 and heads 8 with a platen are arranged on both sides across paper. These heads 8 with a platen is composed of a printing head 1 and a platen structure 7 installed at the same position as the printing surface 2 of the head 1. In addition, a pair of heads 8 with a platen are arranged at a position where their respective printing surfaces 2 are opposed to the platen structure 7, and move in an arrow A-A' direction keeping their relative positions to each other for printing. Thus concurrent printing is performed on both front and rear of paper 5. |
