PURPOSE:To allow no recording to be performed beyond the upper limit of recording time by stopping the drive if recording electric energy to a recording element reached a prearranged reference value or reached the upper limit of drive time set by a timer. CONSTITUTION:An integrator 29 sequentially integrates recording power value output from a voltage/power conversion circuit 28 from the time that a recording start-up trigger TRG is inputted. Then if this integration value INT reached a reference electric energy level LEV, a comparator 31 outputs a reset pulse RST, stopping energization to a heating element 25 through an FF circuit 26a and a drive circuit 26b. Further, if a timer 32 is turned ON from a time of inputting the trigger TRG and a drive time reaches the upper limit, a pulse TIM is outputted, suspending energization to the heating element 25 likewise through OR gate 33. Thus recording is not performed beyond the upper limit of recording time. |
