PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of intensifying a color and of a sensitization by incorporating a specific coloring matter of a sensitizer and a specific org. compd. to at least one of emulsion layers of silver halide (AgX) in combinations. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed coloring matter comprises a compd. shown by formula I wherein R1 is an alkyl group, R2 is an aryl group R3 and R4 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a hydroxy or an amino group, or a halogen atom, R3 and R4 may form a six membered condensed ring, Z is a non-metallic atom capable of forming a five or a six membered ring or Z together with R1 such as an another ring may form a condensed ring. X<-> is an anion, (p) is 1 or 2, (n) is 0 or 1, (m) is 1 or 2. The prescribed org. compd. comprises the compd. wherein A is a bivalent aromatic residue, R11-R14 are each a hydroxy, an alkyl, an alkoxy or an aryloxy group, a halogen atom, a heterocyclic ring, at least one of A, R11-R14 groups is a sulfo group, W is -CH=, or -N=. By arranging the prescribed emulsion layer, the titled material having an excellent photosensitivity is obtd. |
