The features of the combination constituting a perforation seal are such that receiving holes of any desired number and form are made in a letter envelope and that an adhesive strip, adhesive film of any desired shape, can be inserted and adhesively fixed in a practical and meaningful way. It is a further advantage, for reasons of greater security of the letter content, to also perforate documents, cheques at predetermined locations, insert the adhesive strip and adhesively fix it. In the system drawing, Fig. 4, the combination is represented in section. The letter envelope 11, the letter content 12 and the seal adhesive strip 13 are shown. If postage stamps are used as a perforation seal, it is advisable to adapt the perforation with insert slit to the postage stamp in such a way that adhesive fixing is possible on both sides of the letter envelope. <IMAGE>
