PURPOSE:To improve washing efficiency for gas and to adjust its temp. by installing a centrifugal turbo-blower, a gas/liquid separating cyclone, and a temp. controller, respectively, and compressing a gas/liquid mixture and atomizing the fine liquid particles by expanding and cooling the compressed gas/liquid mixture. CONSTITUTION:The gas to be washed is introduced through an introducing pipe 11 into a gas/liquid mixing section 1 of a gas washing tower B, washed by the liquid fed from an atomizer 17, sucked in a centrifugal turbo-blower 22. The liquid particles are atomized by rotary blades, thus dust removal is executed again. The gas/liquid mixture is compressed and sent into a cyclone 3 where it is expanded adiabatically and cooled. Thus, the liquid component is condensed, and the fine particles in the gas are collected and separated from the gas and discharged from a discharging port 38 of the liquid. The gas is discharged after separating and collecting residual liquid particles by the operation of the centrifugal turbo-blower 41. During this time, a temperature controller 70 is operated by the instruction from a central control unit 80, and adjustment of temp. is executed.
