发明名称 METHOD FOR RECORDING THERMAL TRANSFER HALF TONE AND ITS CONTROL CIRCUIT
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high-speed and high-precision half tone recording by making the area of a resistance heating body sufficiently smaller than a packing transfer area and controlling the input energy to the resistance heating body to adjust a range from an area similar to the area of the resistance heating body to the packing transfer area. CONSTITUTION:Conductors 1 are connected to both ends of a resistance heating body 2, and the area of the resistance heating body 2 is sufficiently smaller than the packing transfer area indicated by broken lines. In this case, the area of the resistance heating body is set to 15-50% of the packing transfer area in accordance with relations between the recording speed and the degradation of picture quality. In an input energy control circuit, a density information input terminal 3 consists of n-number of lines for density information and one line for clock signal. Signals from the terminal 3 are distributed to an input energy selecting circuit 4 and an input energy supply control circuit 5. Data which linearizes relations (gamma characteristic) between the input energy at the thermal transfer recording time and the record ing density is stored in a circuit 4 consisting of a memory element, and data by which record ing picture elements are thinned properly to obtain a proper recording density is stored in the low density side, and the input energy is adjusted. A circuit 5 takes charge of the recording picture elements thinning control and adjusts the number of picture elements in case of a low density.
