PURPOSE:To enable the breakdown of a heating block to be prevented even if static electricity is generated on recording paper by using electroconductive rubber as platen material in a label printer using a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 9 is allowed to contact a platen 6 through recording paper 10 so that base is fed by the driving of a drive shaft 16 and label paper peeled off by a label stripper 8 to be protruded through a label issuing port 7. At the same time, required printing is performed by the thermal head 9. Recording paper 10 fed in this way generates static electricity by friction, but this static electricity runs down to a chassis 3 by brush 18 and also finds its way into a chassis 3 by platen 6. Consequently, the static electricity does not affect the head 9, and no breakdown of the heating block manufactured by thin film technique occurs. Also no peeled label causes a jam. |
