<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the working efficiency by previously storing the format of the sheets contained in a universal cassette, judging the format when a cassette is loaded, and thereby effectively utilizing the functions of a copying machine into which the sheet format can be entered. CONSTITUTION:A recessed display part 3, in which four plastic blocks 2 (2a-2d) can be set, is furnished below the central part of the facade 1a of a sheet feed cassette 1, and four sensor switches 4 (4a-4d) are provided at a paper guide 5 of the cassette fitting part 6 of copying machine, in the position of said guide 5 facing the above-mentioned display part 3. The blocks 2 shall push their respective mating sensor switches 4 when the cassette 1 is loaded on the cassette loading part 6 in the direction as shown by arrow A. At this time, the required ones of sensor switches 4 are actuated by changing the number of pieces and orientation of each block 2, and the cassette size is judged according to the actuating condition of the sensor switches.</p> |
